The Italian Grand Prix takes place this weekend at Mugello – a place where people have a long and lasting passion for motorcycle racing.
After returning to the points at Le Mans, the Portuguese rider is now focused on continuing to reach his main goal and staying within the TOP15 at the end of the race.
The sixth round of the 2019 season began today with the start of the first two free practice sessions, in which Miguel Oliveira qualified for the twenty-third best time in both sessions.
During the first free practice session, the Almada rider made his best time in the minute 1'49.870, 2.312 seconds from Marc Marquez, the first classified of the session. By improving his registration between FP1 and FP2 in 0.956 seconds, Miguel Oliveira finished the second practice session with his best lap in minute 1'48.914. A complicated day for Miguel Oliveira and the Red Bull KTM Tech3 team.
"Today was a difficult day. The team made some changes to the bike for the second practice and I was able to improve my time a lot. It was difficult to find good lines to be faster and so we will analyze this during this afternoon to improve tomorrow." Miguel Oliveira
The qualifications of the sixth event of the championship take place tomorrow, Saturday, with the first training sessions of Miguel Oliveira scheduled to start at 08h55 (Portugal time). MotoGP qualifications are due by 13h10.
