Miguel Oliveira proves to be the King of Rain and wins the Thai Grand Prix

Miguel Oliveira achieved his second victory of the season. As happened in Indonesia (second stage of the year), the wet surface was fundamental for Falcão's triumph, which proved once again to be the Rain King of the peloton.

With a delay of 55 minutes due to a huge storm that hit Buriram, on the Chang International Circuit, the 17th race of the World Championship was an authentic Russian roulette, the result of the wet pavement and that even put in question the realization of the race.

A positive atmospheric condition for Miguel Oliveira, one of the main drivers in the field in these conditions. On the third lap, the driver from Almada had the two best laps of the race and was in fourth place in the race. In fifth, new fastest lap and… second position.

With only Jack Miller in front of him, and with a few faster laps, Miguel Oliveira always kept the pressure on his opponent, winner of the last grand prix, which took place in Japan, and also an excellent rider in the wet. Falcão still managed to overtake Miller on lap eight, but the Australian immediately responded and kept first place.

Nothing to discourage Miguel Oliveira, who continued to put pressure on Miller, managing to take first position on lap 13, a position he never dropped throughout the race, as Jack Miller lacked the skills and bike to overtake the Portuguese, finishing the 25 laps (one less than stipulated) in the first position.

After his teammate's second-place finish in Japan, Miguel Oliveira responded categorically, taking his second victory for KTM of the season, two victories named after him.

With this result, Miguel Oliveira rose to eighth position in the Championship, with 131 points.
