The tenth Grand Prix of the 2019 World Motorcycle Championship season was held yesterday in Brno.
Following the close of the Czech Grand Prix, the premier class riders and their teams extended their stay in Brno for an official testing session this Monday.
Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira and his Red Bull KTM Tech3 team took advantage of the day to continue the development and progression of the KTM RC16 by testing new parts and settings, finishing 15th.
“Today we had a very productive day, where we were always in the middle of the table, which is very positive. We didn't focus on having a quick lap time, but we turned out to be equally quick to the other teams. We tried a few new things related to the chassis and the engine and turned out to be very productive about our pace, so we are sure to be in the right direction for the next races. Spielberg is 3 days from now and this is a very beautiful journey because we have all team partners present and it is a weekend where we would particularly like to succeed for all the reasons. I feel we are in the right direction to improve our bike and results.” Miguel Oliveira
For a total of 54 laps completed, the rider lapped his best time in the 49th pass of the finish line at minute 1:56.811, 1,195 seconds of the session's best runner-up Fabio Quartararo.
Miguel Oliveira returns to action on the weekend of 9, 10 and 11 August at the Austrian Grand Prix.
