Brilliant return of Miguel Oliveira in Brno

The Czech Grand Prix began today with the first two free practice sessions. Rider Miguel Oliveira ended this Friday in Brno as the best KTM in the squad, just over a tenth of a second straight to Q2, in 13th place.

The day began with the first morning free practice, in which the Red Bull KTM Tech 3 rider shone brightly as he finished the session in a magnificent fourth place, less than a tenth of first place finisher, Andrea Dovizioso. The Portuguese dominated with the fastest time in the third and fourth sector, running his fastest lap in minute 1:57.018, thus closing the FP1 as the best KTM.

In the second free practice session, the Almada rider made the thirteenth fastest time, remaining the best KTM of the day, less than a second from the session's first qualifier Fabio Quartararo.

“Today was a productive day. We had a good session early in the morning, where we were very fast and one of the first to put the soft tire behind, which gave us a small advantage. In the afternoon, our plan was to assess whether the soft tire could make the race distance or not. We did that and in the end we had a quick lap that could have been even better, but we were still very close to the Top 10 and that makes us very happy and with good prospects for tomorrow.” Miguel Oliveira

Qualifying for the tenth championship will take place tomorrow, Saturday, with the first practice of Miguel Oliveira starting at 8:55 am in Portugal. The MotoGP category qualifications are scheduled for 1:30 pm.
