Mugello brings good memories to Miguel Oliveira

After the Grand Prix of France, which was marked by the return to the points by the rider Miguel Oliveira, the MotoGP World Championship returns now with its sixth round in Mugello, Italy.

The Italian Grand Prix at the Mugello Circuit is always one of the most special on the calendar for the Portuguese MotoGP rider, as it was here that he won his first race in the Moto3 category in 2015.

After a grand prix at Red Bull KTM Tech3’s home, the rookie is now focused to continue to progress and score in the premier class.

"Mugello is a very special track for me, because it was where I got my first win, so there are nice memories coming back when I’m at this track. The layout is quite fantastic and challenging and at the same time, I feel motivated to go on and discover this track on my bike. I think it’s going to be one of those weekends where we have to work hard to improve the feeling coming back from France and to try to fight for our target, which is again finishing inside the points. So, I definitively look forward to go to Italy and start this fantastic Grand Prix." Miguel Oliveira

The Portuguese rider is currently in eighteenth place in the championship with a total of eight points, along with Spanish rider Joan Mir.

Miguel Oliveira goes into action again tomorrow, Friday, at 08.55 (Portugal time), with the first session of free practice in the MotoGP category.
